Join the Ministry of Care: A Call to Serve in Compassion and Healing
Nov 20, 2024

Are you looking for a meaningful way to contribute to your community? The Ministry of Care is seeking volunteers to join us in our mission to support individuals in need of healing and connection. Whether you’re experienced in pastoral care or simply have a compassionate heart, this is your opportunity to make a difference.

The Ministry of Care, a program under the Catholic Health Association of Manitoba (CHAM), works within the Archdioceses of Winnipeg, St. Boniface, and the Ukrainian Catholic Archeparchy of Winnipeg. We aim to support those who are sick, isolated, grieving, or facing mental health challenges through resources, training, and outreach.

Areas of Focus:

  • Eucharistic Ministry: Bringing the presence of Christ to the sick and homebound.
  • Grief and Bereavement Support: Helping individuals navigate loss with compassion.
  • Mental Health and Addictions: Providing resources and support to those in emotional distress.
  • Healthy Aging: Supporting seniors and caregivers with dignity and care.
  • Self-Care and Compassionate Care: Ensuring caregivers are cared for too.

Why Join the Ministry of Care?

By volunteering with the Ministry of Care, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Provide comfort and companionship to those in need.
  • Receive training and resources to support your ministry.
  • Be part of a community dedicated to living out Christ’s healing mission.

Whether you’re young or old, experienced or new to pastoral care, your unique gifts can help us expand this vital ministry. We offer training, resources, and opportunities for personal and spiritual growth.
